Homeowner & Owner Occupancy Data

Know who owns the home: owner names, owner occupancy signals, length of residence, purchase history, and mortgage context for the right conversations.

ReroofGen helps teams separate better fit homeowner opportunities from low priority properties by combining ownership, occupancy, mailing, mortgage, and property signals where available.

  • Identify owner occupied properties using available records
  • See mailing and ownership context before assigning a lead or territory
  • Prioritize homeowners that match your sales criteria, including mortgage context where available
  • Mailing address comparison for absentee owner detection

Know who is behind the door

A roof belongs to a person, and the person decides. Homeowner data puts the owner's name, whether they live in the home, how long they have owned it, when they bought it, and whether a mortgage is on record beside every parcel, drawn from county ownership records and mortgage filings where they are available.

The single most useful signal is occupancy. An owner who lives in the home answers the door and makes the decision; an absentee owner needs a different approach, usually mail to the address on file. ReroofGen reads occupancy from the best official signal the county offers and compares the situs and mailing addresses to catch the rest.

What the fields mean, and where they come from

Every homeowner field is labeled with its source and its confidence. Where a county does not publish a field, the site says the field is not yet available for that county rather than guessing.

  • Owner name, from the county property appraiser record
  • Owner occupancy, from the official homestead or occupancy signal and a situs to mailing address comparison
  • Length of residence, derived from the recorded purchase date
  • Purchase history, from recorded sales
  • Mortgage context, from recorded filings where available

Building an ideal customer profile that holds up

Most roofing teams already know who their best customer is: an owner who lives in the home, has been there a while, and has a roof that is genuinely due. Homeowner data lets a manager write that profile as a filter and apply it to a whole county at once, then rank what is left by roof age. The result is a shorter list that closes at a higher rate, because every home on it was chosen for a reason.

The profile also decides the channel. An owner occupied home with an aging roof is a door to knock. An absentee owned home with the same roof is a letter to the mailing address on file, because nobody who can say yes is home. Sorting the two before the route is built is the difference between a productive afternoon and a long walk.

As of September 4, 2026, ReroofGen holds a dated roof record for 1,977,674 of the 7,017,971 single family homes it tracks across all 67 Florida counties, and 275,977 of those dated roofs are 15 or more years old.

Respecting the person on the other side

Homeowner data is public record, and ReroofGen uses it the way a careful contractor would: to decide whether a conversation is worth having, and to have it with the right person. Records are sourced from official county and public filings, access is controlled inside each customer's workspace, and nothing here is sold onward. The goal is fewer wasted knocks on both sides of the door.
